Cryo therapy in Busan Seomyeon, the session that shortens your afternoon.

Controlled cold constricts vessels and calms the inflammatory response, which is why it belongs immediately after lasers rather than as a standalone facial. Less redness leaving the clinic, less heat that evening. Priced at consultation at our Busan, Korea clinic. English, 日本語 and 中文 consults. Medically reviewed by Dr. Jeong Heon Lee, MD.

Does This Sound Familiar?

What Busan patients ask before booking cryo therapy.

  • Is this worth booking on its own?
  • Does cold actually do anything beyond feeling nice?
  • Will it shorten my recovery after a laser?
  • Can it help rosacea or persistent redness?

All five come up most weeks in Busan. The sections below answer them in order — where cryo genuinely belongs, the mechanism stated plainly, its effect on recovery, and the honest answer on rosacea.

What Is Cryo Therapy?

Cold, applied where heat was left.

Controlled cold constricts blood vessels and slows the inflammatory cascade — the same reason ice is applied to any injury. Applied to skin after energy-based treatment, it reduces the heat and flush that lasers leave behind and shortens how long you look treated.

That is its honest place: an add-on after lasers, injectables and resurfacing rather than a standalone facial. It calms rather than changes, and at our Busan, Korea clinic it is priced at consultation because it is almost always part of another appointment rather than a session bought alone.

How It Works

The science, without the hype.

Vessels constrict, inflammation slows.

01

Vasoconstriction

Cold narrows blood vessels, reducing the flush and heat that follow energy treatment.

02

Inflammatory slowing

Lower tissue temperature slows the inflammatory response that drives redness and swelling.

03

Immediate comfort

The effect is felt during the session — this is comfort and recovery, not structural change.

Where It Belongs

After treatment, not instead of it.

The consultation places cryo where it genuinely helps rather than selling it as a facial.

Your Visit, Step by Step

Six steps at our Busan clinic, ten to twenty minutes, no downtime.

01

Placement decision

The doctor decides whether cryo genuinely adds to your appointment at our Busan clinic — usually after laser or injectable work.

02

Application

Controlled cold across the treated area — ten to twenty minutes, entirely comfortable.

03

Immediate finish

Redness and heat visibly reduced as you leave; nothing to manage afterwards.

04

Continued aftercare

Standard post-procedure instructions still apply — cryo shortens recovery rather than replacing care.

Cryo Therapy Pricing

How much is cryo therapy in Busan — and why exam-priced?

Because it is almost always added to another treatment rather than bought alone, so it is priced as part of that appointment. The figure is confirmed in writing before treatment. The table below shows published neighbouring care for orientation.

The care menu, for orientation.

Published neighbours on the skin-care list — your cryo session is priced at the consultation.

Option Position Price
Cryo therapy Post-procedure calming Written at consultation
LDM Therapy Barrier repair ultrasound ₩100,000 / 12 min
Aqua Peel Clearing and hydration from ₩50,000

Published prices in Korean Won, identical to the list Korean patients see — no foreigner markup. Cryo is not sold as a standalone course. See the full price list.

The Honest Timeline

What a session honestly delivers.

When What you will notice What to do
During Heat and flush reduce noticeably as vessels constrict. Nothing required; the session is entirely passive.
Same day Less visible redness leaving the clinic and through the evening. Standard post-procedure aftercare still applies in full.
Next day Recovery from the primary treatment continues on its normal timeline. Cryo shortens the visible window rather than changing the healing itself.
Honest Suitability

Who it suits in Busan — and who should wait.

A good fit if you…

  • Adding to a laser or injectable appointment to reduce visible recovery
  • Skin that flushes heavily after energy treatment
  • Wanting maximum comfort within a treatment visit
  • Busan visitors with plans the same evening as a procedure

Better to wait if you…

  • Cold urticaria or cold sensitivity — cryo is avoided and noted in your record
  • Raynaud phenomenon or circulatory conditions — assessed individually first
  • Expecting standalone results — this calms rather than treats, and we say so

After your treatment

  • Standard post-procedure aftercare still applies in full
  • Nothing additional is restricted by the cryo itself
  • Report any unusual persistent numbness, though this is uncommon

Honest limits

  • Cryo calms and shortens visible recovery; it does not treat any condition
  • Rosacea and persistent redness need vascular lasers and medical management
  • It is an add-on by design and is not sold as a standalone course
Our Medical Team

Can it help rosacea or persistent redness?

It feels good and it is not treatment. Cold constricts vessels temporarily, so a rosacea-prone face looks calmer for a while and patients understandably interpret that as improvement. But the vessels dilate again, the underlying condition is untouched, and a course of cryo sessions bought against rosacea is money spent on comfort rather than on the problem. At our Busan clinic rosacea goes to vascular lasers and medical management, with cryo available afterwards to make those treatments more comfortable — which is exactly the role it earns.

Placed and performed in person under one of our doctors.

Cryo is the least impressive item on my menu and one of the most used, because it makes the impressive items easier to live with the same afternoon. I would not sell it as anything more than that.

Quick Answers

Will it shorten my recovery after a laser?

The visible part of it, yes. Cold applied immediately after energy treatment reduces the flush and retained heat that would otherwise persist through the evening, so patients leave looking closer to normal and feel more comfortable that night. What it does not change is the underlying healing — crusts still form and shed on their schedule, and flaking after resurfacing runs its normal course. At our Busan clinic cryo is offered where that shortened visible window genuinely matters, such as when you have plans the same evening.
