How long does the lift last?
All five come up most weeks in Busan. The sections below answer them in order — how the count is decided, what causes visible thread results, the selection process, and honest longevity.
Jamber Thread Lift · JRYN Seomyeon
What Is a Thread Lift?
Tissue repositioned, along mapped vectors.
Thread lifting repositions descended tissue by placing absorbable threads along planned vectors and drawing the tissue along them. The mechanics are simple; the difficulty is entirely in the planning — which vectors, how many threads, and how much tension each carries.
Jamber threads are ₩100,000 each on our published list. The number required depends on how much descent there is and where, and at our Busan, Korea clinic that number is mapped, written down and agreed before placement begins — never decided mid-procedure, which is how patients end up with totals they did not expect.
How It Works
The science, without the hype.
Mapping decides everything.
01
Vector mapping
The direction each thread pulls is planned before treatment, because vectors decide whether a result looks natural or pulled.
02
Count agreed in writing
The number of threads and the total price are written down and agreed before the first placement.
03
Tension balance
Both sides are balanced during placement so the result settles symmetrically rather than needing correction.
Where Threads Work
Descent, not volume loss.
The examination separates descent from volume loss — threads address only one of them.
Genuine descent
Repositioning
Tissue that has fallen and can be drawn back along a vector.

The Settling Curve
What a thread lift honestly delivers.
When
What you will notice
What to do
Day 0–7
Repositioning is immediate, with swelling and tightness on top that exaggerate it.
Sleep elevated, no wide mouth opening, no facial massage or dental work.
Week 2–4
Swelling settles and the honest result appears — tissue sitting higher than before.
The one-month photo is the verdict, not the day-zero mirror.
Beyond
The lifted position holds while threads remain, relaxing gradually as they absorb.
Longevity is a range and depends on tissue weight and how much descent there was.
Honest Suitability
Who it suits in Busan — and who should wait.
A good fit if you…
Genuine tissue descent that can be repositioned along a vector
Wanting the thread count fixed in writing before the procedure
Cases where volume restoration alone would not lift anything
Busan visitors — placement completes in one visit and settles over a month
Better to wait if you…
Pregnancy or breastfeeding — deferred as standard
Volume loss rather than descent — filler is the honest answer, and the grading says so
Heavy descent beyond what threads can hold — surgical assessment named plainly
After your treatment
Sleep elevated and avoid wide mouth opening for the first week
No facial massage, sauna or dental work while threads settle
Fixed-frame photos at one month referee the result
Honest limits
Threads reposition descent; they do not restore lost volume
Heavy descent may exceed what threads can hold, and that is named at grading
The lift relaxes as threads absorb — longevity is a range, never a promise
Our Medical Team
Why do some thread lifts look pulled or uneven?
Vectors and count, almost always. A thread pulls tissue in the direction it was placed, so a vector chosen for convenience rather than for anatomy produces a face lifted along the wrong line — which reads as pulled rather than rested. Uneven results usually come from tension differences between sides that were not balanced during placement. Both problems are planning failures rather than product failures, which is why at our Busan clinic the vector map and thread count are drawn and agreed before the first placement, and why the count does not change once the procedure has started.

Thread lifting is a planning procedure that happens to involve threads. Decide the vectors and the count beforehand and the placement is straightforward; decide them mid-procedure and the patient pays for your improvisation twice.

Quick Answers
How many threads will I actually need?
It depends on how much descent there is and across how many vectors, and it should be answered before you agree to anything rather than discovered during the procedure. At our Busan clinic the descent is graded, the vectors are drawn, the count follows from that map, and the total at ₩100,000 per thread is written down and agreed. Patients occasionally ask for more on the day; the answer is that the map was made for a reason and additions are considered at the one-month review rather than mid-placement.

By the descent grading and vector map at our Busan clinic, agreed in writing before placement. It does not change mid-procedure.
Not with vectors planned for your anatomy. Pulled and uneven results come from planning failures rather than from the threads themselves.
Local anaesthetic is used, so placement reads as pressure and pulling rather than pain. Tightness follows for a week or so.
Swelling and tightness for one to two weeks, with the settled result read at one month.
It holds while threads remain and relaxes gradually as they absorb. Longevity is a range depending on tissue weight and descent.
Threads reposition descent; filler restores volume. The grading separates them before you spend, and confusing the two is the common expensive error.
When descent exceeds what threads can hold. That is named at grading rather than treated across repeated thread sessions.
Yes — jawline and midface repositioning books steadily among men at our Busan clinic.
