What does Botox cost in Busan, and which brand should I choose?
At Boom Dermatology in Seomyeon, wrinkle Botox starts at ₩16,500 per area
with Wondertox and rises to ₩121,000 per area with Xeomin; jaw (masseter) Botox runs ₩33,000 to ₩165,000; skin Botox for pores and oil ₩220,000 to ₩440,000; and body Botox for calves, shoulders, sweating or the salivary glands ₩242,000 to ₩550,000 for 200 units. All seven brands are botulinum toxin type A and all seven work; the differences are in onset, diffusion, purity and track record, and the doctor chooses with you at a free consultation. Every price includes VAT and is the same for Korean and international patients.

Six protocols at our Busan skin clinic, each on its own page with all seven brands priced. "From" is the Wondertox price; the brand table at the bottom of this page has every figure.
Say which area and, if you know it, which brand. A photo helps. The doctor replies with the plan and the VAT-included price per area.
2
Consultation
The doctor watches you frown, raise and smile, or presses the jaw, and marks the injection points. Units per point go on your record.
3
Numbing if you want it
Ice or numbing cream on request; most facial Botox is done without.
4
Injections by the doctor
Two to ten minutes. Fine needles, a sting per point. The brand and the units are written on your record in English.
5
Out the door
Pinpricks fade within the hour. No lying flat or rubbing for four hours, no sauna for 24. Seomyeon Station is a one-minute walk.
6
Two-week review
We message you for a photo. Wrinkle results are judged at day fourteen; jaw at six weeks. A top-up, if needed, is arranged then.
How many units of Botox do I need, and who decides?
The doctor, after watching your face move. Units are the dose: a glabella typically takes 15 to 25, a forehead 8 to 20, crow's feet 6 to 12 per side, a masseter 25 to 40 per side, and the ranges are wide because muscles differ. At Boom Dermatology the price is per area, not per unit, so there is no incentive to inject more than you need, and the units per point are written on your record so the next clinic, anywhere, knows what was done. A quote that does not state units is not comparable to one that does.
Is Korean Botox weaker than Allergan, Dysport or Xeomin?
No. Wondertox, Hi-Tox, Coretox, The Toxin and Innotox are botulinum toxin type A products approved by the MFDS and used in millions of Korean treatments a year; the molecule does the same thing. What differs is formulation: Coretox and Xeomin omit the complexing proteins, which matters if you treat often and want to minimise the chance of antibody resistance; Innotox is a ready-diluted liquid; Dysport spreads a little wider, which suits large areas and not small ones. The price gap is mostly brand licensing. The doctor at our Seomyeon skin clinic will tell you which formulation suits your area and your history, and you can choose the price point.
What happens if Botox is injected in the wrong place, and how do you avoid it?
A heavy brow, a drooping lid or an uneven smile for two to three months, until the toxin wears off. It is not dangerous and it is not permanent, but it is avoidable. The doctor injects, not a nurse; points are marked after watching your face move; forehead doses are conservative on a low brow; and the two sides of a jaw are dosed by their actual size, which is often not equal. If something is asymmetric at the two-week review, a small top-up corrects it.
Who Botox suits, and who should wait
Good candidates
Dynamic lines: the ones that appear when you frown, raise your brows or smile
A square or wide lower face that is muscle rather than bone (the doctor checks)
Oily skin and visible pores that lasers have not solved
Muscular calves or raised shoulders that exercise has not changed
Sweating that antiperspirant and clinical-strength products do not control
Neuromuscular conditions, or certain antibiotics in the last two weeks; the doctor checks
A skin infection at the injection site
Patients who want a frozen look; we dose for expression and will say so
How does Boom Dermatology dose Botox?
Three things decide the units and the brand, and all three are written on your record.
Watch the face move
Points are marked after you frown, raise and smile, not from a template. Asymmetry is dosed as asymmetry.
Muscle, not area
A masseter that is 40 percent larger on one side gets 40 percent more. A low brow gets a lighter forehead dose.
Your history and calendar
If you treat every three months, a protein-free brand; if you have an event in ten days, we time it so the result has landed.
Prices are per area, not per unit, so there is no reason for the doctor to add units. The consultation is free when you proceed, and a two-week review message is standard.

Combine — Same day or spaced
Can Botox be combined with other treatments in one Busan visit?
Works well in the same visit
Energy lifting
first, then Botox once the skin has cooled, in the same afternoon
Skin Botox with pico toning
for pores, toning first
Filler
in the same area on the same day: we do Botox first, filler two weeks later
Massage or facial on the treated area for 24 hours
Any treatment that presses on the area (RF microneedling) for two weeks
Flights are fine, but no lying flat for four hours after a forehead or glabella treatment
Tell us your dates in the first message. Most Botox plans fit in one visit, and the two-week review happens on WhatsApp wherever you are.

Downtime — And flying home
Downtime after Botox, and flying home
None. Pinpricks and a little redness fade within the hour; a small bruise is possible and covers with make-up. You can fly the same evening. The result, not the downtime, is what takes time: three to fourteen days for wrinkles, four to six weeks for the jaw and body.
