What is The Toxin, and what does it do?
The Toxin
is a Korean botulinum toxin type A, MFDS-approved, with a conventional formulation and the onset and duration of the category: three to five days to start, three to four months on the face, four to six on the jaw and body. It sits between the entry Korean brands and the imported ones on our list, and is chosen by patients who want a Korean product from a particular manufacturer or who have had a good experience with it elsewhere.
At Boom Dermatology in Seomyeon we carry seven brands because patients arrive with preferences and histories, not because one is better. The Toxin is dosed, placed and recorded exactly as Wondertox

Is The Toxin better than Wondertox, or just more expensive?
At matched units, equivalent. Both are Korean conventional type A toxins; the price difference is manufacturer and market tier, not potency. If you have had a good experience with The Toxin and want continuity, that is a fine reason to choose it. If you are starting fresh and want value, the doctor at Boom Dermatology will say Wondertox does the same job.
Will the units be the same as at my previous clinic?
Units are a property of the brand, not the clinic, so a dose that worked for you before is a good starting point. Bring your previous record if you have it; we write ours in units per point so the next clinic can do the same. If the previous result was too strong or too weak, the doctor adjusts from there.
How does it compare with Dysport or Xeomin?
Equivalent effect at matched doses. Dysport spreads a little wider and uses a different unit scale; Xeomin is protein-free for frequent long-term use. The Toxin is a conventional Korean product; choose it for familiarity, choose Xeomin or Coretox for long-term antibody caution.
Does one Korean toxin work better for some people?
Occasionally, and not predictably. If a brand gave you a shorter result than expected, switching is reasonable, and recording the brand on every visit at our Seomyeon skin clinic makes the comparison real rather than a guess.
