Downtime after mole removal, and flying home

A small flat mole leaves a pink dot that fades to nothing over a few months. A raised or deep mole leaves a faint pale dot or slight dip, less visible than the mole was. How do I know it is not something that needs checking first?

You do not have to; the doctor checks every lesion with a dermatoscope before removal, included in the price. Anything with irregular colour, an uneven border, a recent change or bleeding is examined properly or referred for histology rather than lasered off. A lesion that needs a pathologist should never be vaporised, and we will say so plainly.

Will it grow back?

Rarely, when the base is reached. A mole removed too shallow, to avoid a mark, can regrow and is the common reason for a second visit after removal elsewhere. Ours are taken to the base; a regrowth within a year is retreated without charge at our Seomyeon skin clinic.

I have twelve of them. Can they all come off in one visit?
