Questions, answered properly
Why is one pico session ₩88,000 on one menu and ₩200,000 on another?
Because the energy and the protocol differ, not only the machine. An entry toning session at Boom Dermatology is a gentle whole-face pass at ₩88,000 on Brighton; a picosecond session on Picolo or PicoHi at ₩165,000 brings the power for defined spots; Helios Z at ₩330,000 the most. The price follows the strength your pigment needs, and the doctor names it from a photo.
What does picosecond change compared with older toning lasers?
The pulse is a thousand times shorter, so pigment is shattered mechanically with little heat. That matters for consolidated spots, which clear in fewer sessions, and for Asian skin, which is at lower risk of darkening at equal effect. For diffuse dullness it changes little, which is why we still run Q-switched Helios beside the picosecond platforms.
Will my tone brighten, or do I need spots treated one by one?
Both happen in one session: the whole-face pass brightens tone, and the doctor adds targeted 532 nm pulses on defined spots. On PicoHi that combination is the dual-toning protocol at ₩220,000; on Picolo it is within the premium session.
Is repeated toning safe for melasma-prone skin?
At low fluence with spacing, yes, and it is the standard Korean approach; at freckle energies, no. Our Seomyeon skin clinic screens for melasma first and runs the slow plan with Sylfirm X alongside if it applies.
How many sessions before anyone else notices?
Three to five for a change that stays, five to ten for the full course. Patients at Boom Dermatology in Busan see the fixed-light photo at the fifth session against the first; that is when other people notice too.
