A price of ₩15,000 and a price of ₩450,000 can describe the same treatment on the same face. Neither is wrong; they are measured differently. Learning which unit applies to which treatment takes ten minutes and makes every quote you see for the rest of your life readable.

Per unit — how botox is priced

Botulinum toxin is sold by unit, and the number you need depends on muscle bulk. Wrinkle botox across forehead and glabella runs 20 to 40 units total; jaw botox 25 to 50 per side; calf 100 to 200 for the pair. A per-unit price is therefore only half the figure — multiply by the count your face actually needs. A clinic quoting per area without stating units is giving you a number you cannot use.

Per cc — how filler is priced

Filler is sold by volume, and one cc is roughly a fifth of a teaspoon, which is far less than most people picture. Lips often need 0.5 to 1cc on a first session. Chin one to two. Midface two to four across both sides. Under-eye rarely more than 0.5cc in total — an area where a full syringe would be too much rather than good value.

Per shot or line — how lifting is priced

Energy devices are priced by coverage, because coverage is what produces the result. Three hundred lines treats the lower face and jawline; six hundred adds full face and neck; a thousand is comprehensive. Buying three hundred for a full face spreads coverage too thin to change anything, which is the most common reason patients report seeing nothing from a previous HIFU or RF session. A quote without a shot count is not comparable to one with it.

Per session — how lasers and boosters are priced

Where the treatment is a course rather than a one-off, the unit is the session and the number of them is the real price. Melasma needs eight to fifteen. Acne scarring four to six. Rejuran three to four then maintenance. A per-session figure that looks low against a rival quoting a course total is not cheaper — it is the same arithmetic presented differently.

How do I convert two quotes into comparable figures?

Get both onto the same unit, then multiply. Ask each clinic for the unit count, the volume in cc, the shot count or the session count — whichever applies — and the product name. Two jaw botox quotes of ₩15,000 and ₩139,000 become comparable only once you know both are per session, which brand each uses and how many units each proposes. Without those, you are comparing labels.

What does a quote legitimately not include?

Should a much cheaper quote worry me?

It depends what is cheap. Korean-manufactured products are genuinely less expensive than imported equivalents without being inferior — Oligio against Thermage, or Korean toxin against Allergan. That is a legitimate saving. What should raise questions is a price below the market floor for an imported approved product, since the product itself has a cost. What about package and course pricing?

A course rate for a treatment that genuinely needs a course is normal and often better value. How should I use a published price list?
