Restylane in Busan Seomyeon, the gel that chooses firm or flexible.

Restylane's two gel technologies solve opposite problems: one holds a defined edge against bone, the other moves with your face so expression stays yours. Choosing between them is the actual skill. ₩220,000 per cc at our Busan, Korea clinic, on the same published list Korean patients see. English, 日本語 and 中文 consults. Does This Sound Familiar?

What Busan patients ask before booking Restylane.

  • Restylane or Juvederm — is there a real difference?
  • What does 'firm versus flexible' mean for how my face moves?
  • Which zones is Restylane genuinely the better choice for?
  • Does an imported gel justify ₩220,000 over a Korean one?
  • How long will it last on an expressive face?

All five come up most weeks in Busan. The sections below answer them in order — the honest brand comparison, the two gel technologies explained, zone-by-zone assignment, the import-premium question, and realistic longevity under movement.

What Is Restylane?

Two gel technologies, for two different jobs.

Restylane is Galderma's hyaluronic acid line, and its distinguishing feature is that it spans two manufacturing approaches. NASHA gels are firmer and hold a defined shape — the technology behind projection and structural support. OBT gels are softer and more flexible, integrating with tissue so they move as the face moves.

That split matters more than brand rivalry does. A chin needs a gel that holds its edge; a mobile cheek or a lip needs one that flexes rather than reading as a firm mass during expression. At ₩220,000 per cc on our published list at our Busan, Korea clinic, Restylane earns its place when the zone calls for one of those two behaviours specifically — and where a Korean gel serves the same zone, the exam recommends that instead.

How It Works

The science, without the hype.

Firm or flexible — the choice that decides how a face moves.

01

NASHA technology

Firmer, less deformable gel that holds a defined shape — used where projection and structure are the goal.

02

OBT technology

Softer, more flexible gel that integrates and moves with tissue — used in expressive zones where stiffness would show.

03

Zone-matched selection

Chin and cheekbone favour firmness; lips and mobile midface favour flexibility. Mismatching them is visible in motion, not at rest.

04

Dissolvable throughout

Both technologies are hyaluronic acid, so hyaluronidase reverses either within days if a result is not wanted.

Where Restylane Fits

Structure or motion, never both from one gel.

The examination decides which behaviour the zone needs before the brand is even discussed.

Your Visit, Step by Step

Six steps at our Busan clinic, fifteen to thirty minutes.

01

Behaviour decision

The doctor decides whether your zone needs firmness or flexibility at our Busan clinic — the choice that decides how your face will move afterwards.

02

Mapping and syringe count

Zone by zone: variant, depth and cc, with the full total written before anything is opened.

03

Photos

Fixed-frame photos at rest and in expression — the second set matters more here than in most filler plans.

04

The injection

Numbing cream, then cannula or needle per zone and anatomy. Fifteen to thirty minutes for most plans.

05

The settling

Immediate volume with swelling for two to three days; occasional bruising concealable from day two.

06

Two-week review

Placement checked at rest and in movement — by photo, or by message after you leave Busan.

Restylane Pricing

Juvederm Allergan, imported premium ₩240,000
Neuramis Heart Premium Korean ₩180,000

The Settling Curve

What Restylane honestly delivers.

When What you will notice What to do
Day 0 Volume immediate with swelling on top — the face reads slightly overfilled, as expected. Ice briefly, sleep elevated, no massage or pressure on treated zones.
Day 2–5 Swelling subsides; any bruising surfaces then fades. Concealer covers from day two. No sauna, hard training or dental work while it settles.
Week 2 The honest result at rest and in motion — the second is where gel choice proves itself. Judge here. Small additions, if needed, are decided now rather than on day zero.
Month 6–18 Gradual breakdown; firm gels in static zones outlast flexible gels in mobile ones. Longevity is a range influenced by movement and metabolism, never a promise.
Honest Suitability

Who it suits in Busan — and who should wait.

A good fit if you…

  • Chin and projection work needing a gel that holds its edge
  • Lips and mobile zones where stiffness would be visible in motion
  • Patients who noticed previous filler looked firm when they smiled
  • Wanting the imported gel at a published Korean price
  • Busan visitors — one visit, settled within a standard trip

Better to wait if you…

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding — deferred as standard
  • Active skin infection at the injection site — settled first
  • Zones where a Korean gel serves identically — the honest recommendation, and we make it
  • Skin laxity rather than volume loss — lifting is the answer, and the mapping says so

After your treatment

  • No massage, pressure or face-down sleeping on treated zones for 48 hours
  • No sauna, hard training or dental work while it settles
  • Ice briefly on day zero; concealer over bruising from day two
  • The two-week review checks movement, not only appearance at rest

Honest limits

  • Gel choice shows in motion, not at rest — a still photo cannot judge a filler result
  • Longevity in mobile zones runs shorter regardless of brand or price
  • Filler restores volume; it does not lift loose skin, whatever the technology
Our Medical Team

Restylane or Juvederm — is there a real difference?

Yes, though smaller than brand marketing implies and larger than cynics claim. Both are excellent hyaluronic acid lines from serious manufacturers at nearly the same price here. The practical difference is gel character: Restylane's firmer NASHA gels hold a defined edge particularly well, which I like for chin and structural projection, while Juvederm's smooth cohesive gels integrate very naturally in soft zones. Each line also has variants that cross into the other's territory. So at our Busan clinic I choose by what a specific zone needs and by how a patient's previous filler behaved — never by brand loyalty, which has no place in this decision.

Three doctors, one standard of care.

Patients judge filler in the mirror, standing still. I judge it when they laugh on the way out. Firm gel in a mobile zone looks flawless at rest and wrong in motion, and that mistake is invisible until the patient is already home.

Quick Answers

What does firm versus flexible mean for how my face moves?

It decides whether filler stays invisible when you are animated. A firm gel resists deformation, which is exactly what a chin needs — the edge holds under muscle pull and the projection stays clean. Put that same firmness into a smiling cheek or a lip and it behaves as a distinct mass rather than as tissue, which is the stiff, slightly artificial quality people recognise without being able to name it. Flexible gels move with you at the cost of holding less shape. At our Busan clinic the expression photos taken before injection are how that call gets made properly.

How long will it last on an expressive face?

Shorter than the brochure figure, honestly. Hyaluronic acid breaks down faster where tissue moves constantly, so lips and mobile perioral zones commonly run six to nine months while a chin or cheekbone can hold twelve to eighteen. Metabolism adds further variation. That is why we quote longevity as a zone-specific range at our Busan clinic rather than a brand-level number, and why patients with very expressive faces are told to plan on the shorter end before deciding whether the premium gel is worth it.

Everything Else You Might Ask

Restylane questions in Busan.

₩220,000 per cc on the published list, with syringe counts and the full total written before injection. No foreigner markup.

Yes — English, Japanese (日本語) and Chinese (中文). We are a 5-minute walk from Seomyeon Station Exit 2, and settling photos are reviewed on WhatsApp after you fly home from Busan.

Cross-linked hyaluronic acid manufactured by Galderma, produced in two gel technologies — firmer NASHA and more flexible OBT — for structural and expressive zones respectively.

The one your zone's behaviour requires at our Busan clinic. Firmness for projection, flexibility for movement — named with its price at the mapping.

Both are imported premium HA at similar prices. Restylane's firmer gels suit defined edges; Juvederm's cohesive gels integrate softly. The exam assigns by zone, not brand.

Numbing cream plus the lidocaine within most variants makes it very manageable — pressure and brief stinging rather than pain.

Six to eighteen months by zone and variant — mobile areas at the shorter end, structural zones at the longer. Stated as a range, never a promise.

Two to three days of swelling and occasional bruising, concealable from day two. Nothing needs hiding beyond that.

Yes — hyaluronidase breaks it down within days. We dissolve without argument when a result reads wrong or you change your mind.

Ask to see the box and lot number and check the syringe is opened in front of you. We show the box as routine at our Busan clinic whether or not you ask.

In zones where its specific behaviour matters, yes. In forgiving zones a Korean gel from ₩50,000 often performs identically, and we recommend that when true.

Yes — chin and jaw projection books heavily among men at our Busan clinic, with masculine proportion respected in the mapping.

Yes — you can fly out of Busan the same day. Cabin pressure does not affect settled filler; the two-week photo arrives by message.

Blood-thinning supplements for a few days where your physician agrees, and alcohol the night before — both reduce bruising.

Massage and pressure on treated zones for 48 hours, plus sauna, hard training and dental work while it settles.

Restored volume or definition that holds at rest and moves naturally in expression, settled by the two-week photo. What no honest clinic promises: lifting from volume, guaranteed longevity, or a premium brand rescuing a poorly planned face.
