Start here — Direct answer
Which IV drip should you choose in Busan, and what does a drip actually do?
A drip corrects what is low and replaces what you lost
, directly into the blood, in under an hour; that is the whole of what it does, and it is enough for a long flight, a hard month, a heavy weekend or the day before an event, which is when patients at Boom Dermatology book one. It does not cure tiredness that has another cause, and the doctor who assesses you, an internal medicine specialist, looks for that cause rather than dripping over it. The choice follows what you came for. For energy
after travel or drink, the garlic drip, high-dose thiamine, ₩55,000. For antioxidant and liver
support and a subtle glow over a course, glutathione
or the Cinderella drip, ₩55,000. For the full restock
on day one of a trip, the Signature IV, ₩165,000, vitamins, glutathione, minerals and a litre of fluid in one bag. For a deficiency
that lasts months, the vitamin D depot, a five-minute injection. And the placenta injection, licensed for liver function and menopausal symptoms, for the patients who book it by name.
The honest lines are on each page and repeated here. Glutathione brightens subtly over a course and does not change skin colour; a spot or melasma is a laser
problem. The garlic drip lifts the depleted and does nothing for the rested. Vitamin D is given to a level, not a guess. Placenta is licensed for two things and reported for many. And a drip pairs well with a laser or a booster the same day, running while the skin cools, which is how most treatment-trip days at our Busan skin clinic end.

The visit
What does an IV visit in Seomyeon look like?
1
Message first
What you want the drip for, any conditions and medications, and your dates. The doctor replies with which drip fits and the price.
2
Doctor check
Blood pressure, history, asthma, heart and kidney conditions, allergies; the drip chosen and written on your record in English.
3
The chair
A small cannula; thirty to sixty minutes reclined with a nurse checking on you; a book, a phone, a nap.
4
Out the door
Cannula out, water, no downtime; the next drip or the laser the same afternoon if planned.
Do IV drips actually work, or is it marketing?
Both, depending on the claim. Replacing a litre of fluid after a flight, correcting a low thiamine after a hard month, raising a vitamin D level that was low: those work, quickly and measurably, and the patient feels it. Brightening the complexion by shades, curing fatigue that has another cause, melting fat, reversing age: those are the claims on the posters in Busan and they do not. Boom Dermatology offers the first set and says plainly which claims belong to the second; the doctor, an internal medicine specialist, assesses before every drip and leaves out the component you cannot have.
Is it safe to have a drip at a skin clinic?
With a doctor assessing and a nurse monitoring, yes; a drip is a medical procedure and is treated as one here. Blood pressure and a history before any cannula; asthma asked about because intravenous glutathione can tighten airways; heart and kidney conditions because a litre of fluid needs care; allergies; medications. The drip runs in a reclined chair in the building with the doctor present, and a reaction, rare, is handled there. Clinics in Busan that put a bag up without a question are the ones to avoid.
One drip or a course?
One for a trip, an event or a heavy weekend, because what a single drip does, it does at once. A course, weekly to fortnightly for six to ten, for the things that build: the subtle brightening of a glutathione or Cinderella course, the sustained lift of a long tired stretch. Vitamin D is a depot every two to three months by level, and the placenta shot is a course of eight to twelve by design. The doctor sets the rhythm; nothing is sold as a package and sessions are bought one at a time at our Seomyeon skin clinic.
Who IV therapy suits, and who should see the doctor for something else
Good candidates
Visitors on the first day of a treatment trip, after a long flight
Anyone before an event or a photograph
A hard month, a heavy weekend, recovery after illness or a procedure
Patients around a laser or booster course
Residents of Busan who want a periodic restock set by a doctor
We will suggest waiting, or something else
Asthma for glutathione-containing drips; adjusted or omitted
Heart or kidney conditions in which fluid needs care; the doctor decides
Pregnancy; the doctor advises on each
Tiredness that needs a diagnosis, which the doctor looks for first
Anyone expecting a drip to change skin colour, melt fat or cure a chronic condition
How does Boom Dermatology run IV therapy?
Three rules, applied at every visit at our Busan skin clinic and written on your record.
Assessed by a doctor
An internal medicine specialist takes the history and sets the drip; a nurse runs it; the doctor is in the building.
Contents on the record
What is in the bag, at what dose, in English; nothing added without saying so; a component you cannot have is left out.
The honest line
What the drip does and what the poster claims, told apart before the cannula goes in.
A drip is never sold as a package, never required before a treatment, and never offered as the answer to a symptom that needs a diagnosis.
05
Combine — Same day or spaced
Can a drip be combined with a laser, a booster or an injectable in one Busan visit?
Works well in the same visit
A drip after any laser or toning session, while the skin cools
A drip the same day as a booster or filler
The Signature IV on the afternoon of arrival, before a consultation the next day
A vitamin D injection or placenta shot at any visit
Better spaced apart
A drip during an acute illness with fever; wait
Two drips in one day; one bag, adjusted, is the answer
A drip instead of eating or sleeping before a procedure
Any drip without the doctor's check that visit
Tell us your dates and what else you are planning. Most treatment-trip days at our Seomyeon skin clinic end in the drip chair.
06
Downtime — And flying home
Downtime after a drip, and flying home
None, for any of the six. A cannula mark for a day; a flush or a taste during some drips that settles when the rate is slowed; a sore site for a day after an injection. Fly the same day. The lift, where something was low, within hours; a course for the things that build.
