Does This Sound Familiar?

What Busan patients ask before booking volume filler.

  • Is a ₩240,000 filler nearly five times better than a ₩50,000 one?
  • How many cc do I actually need — and who decides?
  • What makes one filler firm and another soft?
  • Will it look done, or will people just think I slept well?
  • What happens if I do not like the result?

All five come up most weeks in Busan. The sections below answer them in order — what price actually buys in filler, how volume is decided honestly, the G-prime explanation, the natural-result discipline, and the dissolvability answer.

What Is Volume Filler?

Hyaluronic acid, engineered by firmness.

Every filler on our list is cross-linked hyaluronic acid — a sugar molecule your body already makes, gelled so it holds shape and integrates with tissue. What separates the brands is engineering: how much the gel resists deformation, how it behaves under facial movement, and how long the body takes to break it down.

That resistance is what practitioners call G-prime, and it decides placement rather than quality. High G-prime gels hold structure deep against bone; softer gels sit closer to the surface without reading as a ridge. So the brand follows the zone, not the budget — and at our Busan, Korea clinic all seven prices are published from ₩50,000 to ₩240,000 per cc so you can see exactly what the recommendation costs before agreeing to it.

How It Works

The science, without the hype.

Gel firmness, depth and longevity — the three variables deciding brand at our Busan clinic.

01

G-prime and depth

Firm gels support structure deep against bone; soft gels correct finely near the surface. Wrong depth for the gel is how filler goes visible.

02

Longevity by cross-linking

More cross-linking resists breakdown longer — which is why premium brands last longer rather than looking better on day one.

03

Zone-specific choice

Chin and cheek want support; tear troughs and lips want softness. One brand cannot serve every zone well.

04

Dissolvable by design

Hyaluronidase breaks HA filler down within days — the safety net that only HA fillers offer.

Where Volume Goes

Structure first, surface last.

The examination maps where volume was lost — not where it is fashionable to add it.

Your Visit, Step by Step

Six steps at our Busan clinic, fifteen to thirty minutes.

01

Volume mapping

The doctor maps where volume was actually lost at our Busan clinic — and says plainly when lifting or skin quality, not filler, is your real answer.

02

Brand and cc decision

Zone by zone: which gel, what depth, how many cc. All seven prices are on the table before anything is agreed.

03

Photos and written total

Fixed-frame photos and the full price in writing — cc counts do not change mid-treatment here.

04

The injection

Numbing cream, then cannula or needle per zone. Fifteen to thirty minutes for most plans.

05

The settling

Immediate volume with some swelling for two to three days; occasional bruising concealable from day two.

06

Two-week review

Placement integrates over two weeks — reviewed by photo or by message after you leave Busan.

The Settling Curve

What filler honestly delivers.

When What you will notice What to do
Day 0 Volume is immediate, with swelling on top of it — you will look slightly overfilled and that is expected. Ice briefly, sleep elevated, no massage or pressure on treated zones.
Day 2–5 Swelling subsides and any bruising surfaces then fades; concealer covers from day two. No sauna, hard training or dental work while it settles.
Week 2 The real result: gel integrated, contour settled, and the honest verdict on placement. The two-week photo is what the plan should be judged on, not day zero.
Month 6–18 Gradual breakdown by brand and zone — most patients top up before it fully disappears. Longevity varies with metabolism and movement; the estimate is stated, not promised.
Honest Suitability

Who it suits in Busan — and who should wait.

A good fit if you…

  • Midface and cheek volume loss driving lower-face descent
  • Temple and forehead hollowing reading as chronic tiredness
  • Chin and jaw projection wanting balance rather than change
  • Wanting all brand prices published before committing
  • Busan visitors — treatment completes in one visit and settles within a trip

Better to wait if you…

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding — deferred as standard
  • Active skin infection at the injection site — settled first
  • Skin laxity mistaken for volume loss — lifting is the honest answer, and we say so
  • Wanting a face from a photograph — proportion rules come before requests here

After your treatment

  • No massage, pressure or face-down sleeping on treated zones for 48 hours
  • No sauna, hard training or dental work while it settles
  • Ice briefly on day zero; concealer over bruising from day two
  • The two-week photo is the verdict — not the day-zero mirror

Honest limits

  • Filler replaces volume; it does not lift loose skin, and confusing the two is the commonest expensive mistake
  • Longevity estimates vary by metabolism and movement — stated as ranges, never promises
  • Overfilling is the industry's signature failure, which is why we cap plans by proportion rather than by request
Our Medical Team

Is a ₩240,000 filler nearly five times better than a ₩50,000 one?

No — it is engineered differently and lasts longer, which is a narrower claim. All seven are cross-linked hyaluronic acid, and injected at the right depth by the same hands, an entry gel in a forgiving zone can look identical to a premium one at day fourteen. What premium cross-linking buys is duration and predictable behaviour in demanding zones — deep structural support that must hold shape under muscle movement for a year or more. So at our Busan clinic I match brand to zone and tell you when the cheaper gel is genuinely the right choice, which for many midface plans it is.

From the Founder

Mapped and injected in person by one of our doctors.

The overfilled faces I correct were rarely injected badly — they were injected repeatedly, a little at a time, by clinics that never said stop. My rule is a written cc cap set at the mapping, and the discipline to reach the end of it and put the syringe down.

Quick Answers

How many cc do I actually need — and who decides?

The mapping decides, and it should be written down before a syringe is opened. Most single-zone plans use one to two cc; full midface restoration in a face with real volume loss may reach three. What should never happen is deciding cc during treatment, because that is how gradual overfilling occurs — each visit adding a little more against a face that has already changed. At our Busan clinic the cc cap is set at the mapping, stated in writing with its total price, and adhered to even if you ask for more on the day.

What happens if I do not like the result?

Hyaluronic acid filler is dissolvable, which is the single most reassuring fact about it. An injection of hyaluronidase breaks the gel down within days, and the zone returns to its pre-treatment state. We do it when a result reads wrong, when placement has migrated, and occasionally when a patient simply changes their mind — without argument, because a clinic that resists dissolving is protecting its work rather than the patient. That safety net is also why we start conservatively: it is far easier to add at week two than to explain away a face that went too far.

Everything Else You Might Ask

Volume filler questions in Busan.

From ₩50,000 to ₩240,000 per cc depending on brand, with cc counts and the full total written before injection. Most plans use one to three cc. No foreigner markup.

Yes — English, Japanese (日本語) and Chinese (中文). We are a 5-minute walk from Seomyeon Station Exit 2, and settling photos are reviewed on WhatsApp after you fly home from Busan.

Cross-linked hyaluronic acid, used daily at our Busan clinic — a sugar molecule the body already produces, gelled so it holds shape, integrates with tissue and can be dissolved if needed.

The one your zone needs at our Busan clinic. Firm gels for deep structural support, softer gels near the surface — with all seven prices published so you see what the choice costs.

Numbing cream plus lidocaine within most gels makes it very manageable — pressure and brief stinging rather than pain.

Roughly six to eighteen months depending on brand, zone and your metabolism. Mobile zones break gel down faster than static ones.

Not if the plan is capped by proportion. Overfilling comes from repeated small additions without a stop rule — ours is written at the mapping and adhered to.

Yes — hyaluronidase dissolves HA filler within days. We do it without argument when a result reads wrong or you change your mind.

Two to three days of swelling and occasional bruising at our Busan clinic, concealable from day two. Nothing needs hiding beyond that.

Filler replaces lost volume; it does not lift loose skin. Confusing the two is the commonest expensive mistake, and the mapping separates them before you spend.

Yes — chin, jaw and temple work books heavily among men at our Busan clinic, with masculine proportion respected in the mapping.

Yes — you can fly out of Busan the same day. Cabin pressure does not affect settled filler; the two-week photo arrives by message.

Blood-thinning supplements for a few days where your physician agrees, and alcohol the night before — both reduce bruising.

Massage and pressure on treated zones for 48 hours, plus sauna, hard training and dental work while it settles.

Poorly placed or over-volumised filler can shift over time, particularly in mobile zones. Correct depth and honest cc limits are the prevention, and dissolving is the remedy.

Restored volume that reads as rested rather than treated, settled by the two-week photo and lasting six to eighteen months. What no honest clinic promises: lifting from volume, permanence, or a face from someone else's photograph.
