Juvelook combines two ingredients in one syringe: hyaluronic acid, which hydrates and gives an immediate glow, and PDLLA (poly-D,L-lactic acid) microparticles, which the skin slowly breaks down over months while laying new collagen around them. The result is a booster that behaves like a hydrating injection in the first two weeks and like a collagen stimulator thereafter, improving texture, pores, fine lines and mild hollowness. Downtime after Juvelook, and flying home

Minimal. Pinpricks and occasional small bumps for a day or two, a possible bruise. Make-up from the next morning; fly the same evening. The glow shows at two weeks; the collagen at six weeks to three months.

Why does it take six weeks to show the collagen?

Because the collagen is yours, not the product's. The HA in Juvelook hydrates at once; the PDLLA particles do nothing visible until fibroblasts have surrounded them and started laying down new collagen, which takes four to six weeks and continues for three months. It is the same timeline as every stimulator, and it is why the result looks grown rather than placed.

Juvelook, Olidia, Sculptra: are these the same thing with different names?

Same family, different strengths. All three are polylactic acid stimulators. Juvelook uses PDLLA in an HA carrier at a low particle load, so it suits full-face skin quality and can be placed shallowly. Olidia and Sculptra are PLLA at higher loads, placed deeper for volume. At Boom Dermatology the doctor picks by whether your goal is skin or volume.

If it cannot be dissolved, what happens if I do not like the result?

PDLLA cannot be dissolved like HA filler, but Juvelook's particle load is low and its effect is skin quality rather than shape, so there is nothing to dislike in the way a misplaced filler can be disliked. The HA half absorbs in weeks; the collagen fades over a year. We dose conservatively and build over sessions for exactly this reason.

How does Juvelook compare with Sculptra?

Sculptra is the stronger stimulator for a face that has deflated: deeper, more particles, a vial at ₩1,100,000, results at three months that last two years.
