Cruise passengers are the most time-constrained patients we see, and the constraint is absolute — the ship leaves. This page is built around that rather than around what we would like to sell you, which means being direct about the treatments that do not fit a port day at all.

How long is the transfer from Busan Port?

Twenty-five to thirty-five minutes each way to Seomyeon, depending on where your ship berths and how you travel. Busan Port International Passenger Terminal connects to Busan Station in around ten minutes by taxi, and Seomyeon is two subway stops beyond that. A taxi direct to the clinic takes twenty-five to thirty-five minutes in normal traffic. Budget an hour of travel in total across the day and you have a comfortable margin.

Which treatments fit a port day?

Anything with no visible aftermath. Wrinkle botox and jaw botox take ten to fifteen minutes and show nothing. Pico toning leaves mild redness for an hour and make-up goes on the same day. Energy lifting is the strongest candidate — no downtime whatsoever, and the result builds over three months whether you are on a ship or at home. Consultation and any of these fits inside two hours including numbing.

What should I avoid on a port day?

Lip filler and under-eye filler, both of which swell visibly within hours and would have you at the ship's dinner service looking obviously treated. Thread lifting, which carries two to three weeks of restrictions including no wide mouth opening — impractical on a cruise. Fractional resurfacing, which peels for three to seven days. We will say no to these on a port day rather than take the booking.

How should the day be scheduled?

Come early rather than late. An appointment in the first half of your time ashore leaves the whole afternoon as buffer, and if anything runs long you still have hours before all-aboard. The common mistake is booking at midday after sightseeing, which compresses everything into the window where a delay becomes a problem. Message us your ship name and port times and the slot is built backwards from all-aboard rather than forwards from breakfast.

What happens if something overruns?

It rarely does for the treatments suited to a port day, but the plan accounts for it. Tell us your all-aboard time at booking and it is written into your file — if the schedule tightens, the treatment is shortened or postponed rather than rushed. There is no deposit to lose and no charge for a consultation that ends without treatment. The one thing we will not do is compress an assessment to make a sailing.

Do I need a shore excursion or a guide?

Neither. Independent transfer by taxi or subway is straightforward, signposted in English, and considerably cheaper than an organised excursion. Show the Korean address to a taxi driver rather than reading the romanised version aloud — the Korean line is sent ahead of your visit as an image and appears on the contact page. If you would rather not navigate at all, a taxi from the terminal to the clinic door is the simplest option.

Can I be treated if I am mid-cruise with more ports ahead?

Yes, and it changes the recommendation slightly. Sun exposure matters after any pigment treatment, so a Mediterranean or tropical itinerary with beach days ahead is a reason to choose boosters or lifting over laser. Tell us what is coming and the plan accounts for it — treating pigment before a week of deck sunshine undoes the work and risks a rebound.

How does follow-up work once the ship sails?

On WhatsApp, in your own language, wherever you are. Treatment notes recording product, dose and area are provided so any doctor can continue your care, which matters more for cruise passengers than for most patients — you may be several countries away by the time a question arises. Nothing about follow-up requires you to return to Busan.

Is one treatment on a port day actually worthwhile?

For the right treatment, yes. A single lifting session produces a result that builds over three months regardless of where you are, and botox lasts three to six months — neither depends on a course. What is not worthwhile is starting something that needs three to five sessions when you will not be back, and we will tell you that rather than take the first payment.
