Thread Lifting · Seomyeon, Busan
N-Fix thread lift in Busan Seomyeon
A cog thread whose barbs are pressed out of the thread by micro-punching at a fixed density rather than cut into it, so the core stays intact and every barb is the same size and spacing: a strong, even hold that lasts, for jowls and a mid-face with some weight. Quoted at the consultation by thread count, VAT included, by the doctor at Boom Dermatology, a skin clinic one minute from Seomyeon Station.

What is N-Fix thread lift, and what does it do?
N-Fix
is a polydioxanone cog thread made by micro-punching
: the barbs are pressed out of the thread body by a die at a fixed interval, instead of being cut with a blade. Two things follow. The thread's core is not notched, so it keeps its tensile strength and is less likely to snap or stretch under tension; and because the die is the same every time, the barbs are uniform in size, angle and spacing along the whole thread, so the hold is even rather than concentrated where a blade happened to cut deeper. The result is a cog thread with a strong, consistent grip that suits tissue with some weight, a jowl, a dropped mid-face, and a hold at the longer end of what PDO can give, twelve to eighteen months.
At Boom Dermatology, N-Fix sits beside MINT
as the strong PDO tier, chosen by the doctor by how the thread handles your tissue at the consultation; for a lean face with little to grip, N-Cog; for the longest hold, Aptos; for tissue too heavy for any thread, surgery, which we say plainly and refer.
What Busan patients ask before N-Fix thread lift
What does micro-punched mean, and why does it matter?
N-Fix or MINT: are these the same tier?
How strong is the hold on a real jowl?
How long does it last?
Can N-Fix be combined with HIFU or a stimulator?
All of these come up most weeks at our Seomyeon skin clinic. The page answers them in order.
02
Who it suits
Who is N-Fix thread lift for?
Good candidates
Jowls with some weight to them
A mid-face that has dropped more than a little
Patients who want twelve to eighteen months between repeats
A previous cut-barb thread that stretched or slipped
Men, whose heavier tissue often needs the stronger barb
We will suggest something else
Tissue too heavy for any thread; surgery is the honest answer
Very thin skin where a strong cog may show; mono threads or a stimulator first
Mild laxity that HIFU or RF handles
Active infection, keloid tendency, blood thinners without clearance
Pregnancy; an event or dental work inside a month

The visit
What happens at a N-Fix thread lift session in Seomyeon?
This is how a N-Fix thread lift visit runs at Boom Dermatology, a skin clinic in Seomyeon, Busan, from the first message to the review.
1
Message first
Front and side photos in daylight, no make-up, and what has dropped. The doctor replies with whether threads fit, the likely type and count, and the VAT-included quote.
2
Consultation and marking
The drop is mapped with you upright; vectors, thread type and count are drawn on your face and written on your record with the quote.
3
Local anaesthetic
Entry points numbed; forty minutes from marking to the last thread.
4
Threads placed by the doctor
Each thread passed along its vector with a cannula, set and trimmed; the lift is checked in the mirror before the next.
5
Out the door
Mild swelling and tightness; soft food and small expressions for three days; sleep on your back for a few nights; fly out of Busan after 48 hours.
6
Two-week review
Swelling gone, the lift settled; the photo goes on your record, by WhatsApp if you have left Busan, and the maintenance plan is set.
How does Boom Dermatology plan N-Fix thread lift?
N-Fix threads are planned by vector, plane and count with you upright; the uniform barb means a predictable hold per thread, and the count is written before the quote.
Vector and plane
Along the line of the drop, in the plane that holds; marked on your face.
Three to four a side
The even barb holds predictably, so the count is set by the drop, not by guesswork.
Twelve to eighteen months
Lift for the life of the barb; collagen firming after; repeat at a longer interval.

Questions, answered properly
What does micro-punched mean, and why does it matter?
The barbs are pressed out of the thread by a die rather than cut by a blade. A cut takes material out of the core and leaves barbs of uneven depth; a punch leaves the core whole and every barb the same. The thread is stronger under tension and the grip is even along its length, which at Boom Dermatology is the reason to choose it for a jowl that needs holding rather than coaxing.
N-Fix or MINT: are these the same tier?
The same tier of strength, by different engineering: MINT moulds a helical barb, N-Fix punches a uniform one. Both hold heavier tissue twelve to eighteen months. The doctor chooses by how each thread handles your tissue at the consultation, and the quote is written for the one chosen; there is no price reason to prefer either.
How strong is the hold on a real jowl?
Strong enough for a jowl with some weight, which is what the uniform barb is for, and not strong enough for a heavy, thick jowl that needs surgery, which our Seomyeon skin clinic says at the first visit rather than after. The pinch test at the consultation tells the doctor which yours is.
How long does it last?
Twelve to eighteen months of lift, then the collagen along the track keeps the tissue firmer for a year after. Repeat when you want the lift back; many patients alternate with HIFU or RF between.
Can N-Fix be combined with HIFU or a stimulator?
Yes, in sequence: HIFU or RF four weeks before to tighten, threads to reposition, a collagen stimulator two weeks after along the lifted area. Patients at Boom Dermatology in Busan on a two-visit plan often do the device on the first trip and the threads on the second.
The doctor says whether N-Fix thread lift fits your face, names the thread count and the vectors, and writes the VAT-included quote before you book a flight to Busan.
