Treatment budgets in Busan Seomyeon, and what each one actually reaches.
Four spending levels, built from the published price list rather than from packages, with what each genuinely achieves and what it does not. Written so the decision can be made before you arrive.
Patients with a fixed budget make better decisions than patients without one, because a limit forces a ranking. This page sets out what each level reaches so the ranking can happen before the consultation rather than during it.
Does This Sound Familiar?
What patients ask about spending
What can I realistically get for a modest budget?
Is there a point below which it is not worth doing?
Should I save up rather than do something small now?
What would you spend it on if it were your face?
How do I avoid spending it on the wrong thing?
All five come up most weeks, and the last one is what the ranking prevents. The sections below work up the levels.
The smallest useful amount
Less than most patients expect. Wrinkle botox
from ₩10,000 and pico toning
from ₩20,000 are both genuine entry points that produce a visible result rather than a token one. At this level the choice is a single treatment addressing one clear concern — and if nothing on your face has one clear concern, that is a legitimate answer too.
A modest budget — one thing, properly
Enough for one treatment at an adequate rather than minimal dose. A full botox
plan across forehead and glabella, a session of Shurink
with proper coverage of the lower face, or half a syringe of chin filler. The rule at this level is coverage over brand — adequate treatment on an accessible platform beats a thin package on a premium one — see cheap or premium.
A mid-range budget — two layers
Enough to treat two of the four ageing layers, which is where results start looking complete rather than partial. The common pairing is volume and firmness — midface filler
with energy lifting
— or structure and skin quality. Volume goes first, since restoring support reduces how much tightening is needed — see why faces age.
A larger budget — a full year
One structural treatment, botox two to three times, boosters quarterly and a pigment course in the low-UV months. This is the level at which a plan rather than a treatment becomes possible, and where the compounding effect of consistent collagen work starts showing — see what a year of maintenance looks like.
Why does a limit produce better decisions?
Because it forces the question that an open budget avoids — which of these matters most. A patient told they could benefit from four things and able to afford all four will usually take all four, and end up unable to attribute any of the result. The same patient with a fixed amount asks for a ranking, receives one, and learns something about their own face in the process. Constraint is not a compromise here; it is what turns a list into a plan — see what a no-upsell policy means.
One thing properly beats three things partially
What changes for a visiting patient?
The travel cost enters the calculation and shifts the answer upward. For someone flying in, a single small treatment rarely justifies the trip, while a mid-range plan frequently does — the fare is fixed regardless of what is booked, so the ratio improves with scale in a way it does not for a local patient. That is a genuine difference rather than an argument for spending more: it simply means the smallest tier on this page suits residents better than visitors — see Busan or Seoul.
What to spend on first, at any level
Whichever layer contributes most to what bothers you, assessed physically rather than assumed. That is a different answer for different faces and it is the entire purpose of the examination. A patient told the same starting treatment as everyone else has been given a menu rather than a plan — see how a consultation works.
What not to spend on
An inadequate shot count, which achieves nothing regardless of platform. A course you cannot complete, which delivers one session and a plan. Multiple small treatments spread across several layers, which produces less than one adequate treatment. And anything chosen because it was on offer rather than because it addressed your assessment.
Where a small budget goes furthest
Pigment and movement. A toning course
produces the largest visible change per won for most patients, since even tone reads as rested more reliably than lines do. Botox
is next — low cost, unambiguous effect, reversible by expiry. Both are also good first treatments for the same reasons — see your first treatment plan.
Where a budget is most often wasted
On the wrong layer rather than on the wrong brand. A perfectly delivered premium filler
placed for pigmentation, or an expensive lifting
session on a face whose problem is deflation, wastes the entire amount. That is why consultation time is the one thing never worth economising on, and why the ranking question matters more than the price comparison.
How to build your own figure
From the published price list
rather than by requesting a quote. Take the treatment addressing your main concern, multiply by a realistic unit or shot count, and add nothing else until that figure is settled. Send photographs beforehand for a range — see booking in English
— and compare that against what you were prepared to spend rather than the reverse.
Our Medical Team
Who will actually treat you at JRYN Seomyeon?
A doctor, in person, every time — never a nurse or a coordinator. JRYN Seomyeon has three doctors, and the clinic was founded by Dr. Jeong Heon Lee, who still consults here. What you actually need is decided during the consultation after your skin is examined, not from a fixed package chosen in advance.
Three doctors, one standard of care.
Every treatment plan at JRYN Seomyeon is decided and performed in person by one of our doctors — led by Dr. Jeong Heon Lee, founder of JRYN Dermatology.
From the Founder
The consultation is the treatment.
Most patients arrive asking for a specific treatment. My job is to check whether it is the right one for what they actually have. Getting that wrong is the most common mistake I correct.

Before You Book
Questions patients ask first.
No, and treating nothing is a legitimate outcome. What we would decline is spreading a small amount across several treatments where none would then be adequate.
Depends what small buys. An adequate treatment of one layer is worth having now; a token amount of three is not, and waiting is better than that — see what a year of maintenance looks like.
Payment follows each treatment rather than preceding a course, which spreads cost naturally without a financing arrangement — see how to pay.
Sometimes nominally, and it commits you before you know how you respond. A course rate for a treatment that genuinely needs a course is different from a bundle of four things — see what a no-upsell policy means.
Ask which single item to keep. A ranked answer is reasonable to expect, and narrowing the plan is a better response than diluting it.
Too variable to be useful as a benchmark, and comparing against an average is a poor basis for a decision about your own face.
Yes, and for international patients it is usually how a larger plan runs — structural work on one trip, skin quality on the next — see the five-day itinerary.
Doctor-led planning across six categories. Foreign patients pay the same as local patients — what changes a final figure is units and area, never nationality.
