No Downtime · Seomyeon, Busan · Foreigner-Friendly
No-downtime treatments in Busan Seomyeon, and what that phrase actually means.
"No downtime" is used loosely enough to be almost meaningless. This sorts every treatment offered here into three honest categories — nothing shows, something shows briefly, and plan around it — with the actual number of days rather than a reassurance.

What does no downtime actually mean here?
Which treatments leave nothing at all?
Which leave something for a few hours?
Which need a day?
Which need two to three days?
Which need real planning?
How visible is "mild redness" in practice?
Can I really return to work straight afterwards?
How should I sequence treatments around a trip or an event?
Clinics describe almost everything as having no downtime, which leaves patients discovering the difference on the day. The list below is the one we use internally when scheduling around a departure or an event, and it is more conservative than most published versions.
Does This Sound Familiar?
What patients ask about downtime
I have a client meeting tomorrow. What can I safely have today?
Every clinic says no downtime. Is any of it true?
How visible is "mild redness" really?
Can I go back to the office straight after?
What counts as downtime — swelling, or just bruising?
All five come up most weeks, and the last one is worth answering first: downtime here means anything another person would notice. The sections below sort the treatments on that basis.
What does no downtime actually mean here?
Anything another person would notice, not just anything that hurts. A treatment that leaves you comfortable but visibly bumpy for a day has downtime by that definition, even though many clinics would not describe it that way. Using the stricter standard means the schedule we build around your departure or your event is one you can rely on, which matters more than the phrase sounding good on a website.
Which treatments leave nothing at all?
Botox
in every area — face, jaw, calf, underarm. Ultherapy, Thermage FLX, Shurink, Oligio, Sofwave
and Volnewmer. EMFACE
and InMode. Make-up goes on the same day, flights are fine, and nobody looking at you would know. These are the treatments we schedule without asking about your week.
Which leave something for a few hours?
Pico toning
and melasma toning
— mild warmth and slight redness for an hour or two, make-up the same day. Existing pigment spots may look temporarily darker for several days, which is the pigment lifting rather than worsening, but it is visible up close. Microbotox
leaves tiny raised points for a few hours. All three fit a working day with a lunch break.
Which need a day?
Rejuran, water glow, Skinvive
and Juvelook
— all leave small raised bumps at every injection point that settle overnight, with no make-up until the following morning. The face looks temporarily uneven rather than glowing, which surprises first-timers. Treat in the evening and you are normal by morning; treat at lunchtime and the afternoon is awkward.
Most no-downtime treatments finish inside thirty minutes
Which need two to three days?
Chin, nose
and cheek filler, where swelling is modest and concealer covers any bruising at an entry point. Vascular laser
on the standard non-purpuric setting. Sculptra, where the swelling is reconstitution fluid rather than result and subsides within days.
Which need real planning?
Lip filler
at two to three days of marked swelling and under-eye filler
at four to seven, since that area bruises more readily than anywhere on the face. Mole removal
with visible scabs for one to two weeks. PDO threads
at three to seven days and Aptos
at five to ten, both with two to three weeks of restrictions. Fractional resurfacing
peeling for three to seven days.
How visible is "mild redness" in practice?
Comparable to having been in a warm room or exercised briefly — noticeable to you in a mirror, generally not to a colleague across a desk. It settles within one to two hours for toning and lifting. What is more visible than patients expect is the temporary darkening of pigment spots after toning, which lasts three to ten days before flaking away. That is not redness and it is worth knowing about before a photograph.
Can I really return to work straight afterwards?
After anything in the first two categories, yes without qualification — patients regularly treat during a lunch break and return. After a booster, you can work but you will have visible injection points until the following morning. After filler or threads, treating on a working day is possible but the following morning is not a discreet one. The distinction is not about capability but about whether you mind being asked.
How should I sequence treatments around a trip or an event?
Anything from the last two categories goes at the start, anything from the first two can sit anywhere. For an event, count backwards: three weeks minimum after filler, eight weeks after jaw botox
where the visible change arrives late, two to three weeks after boosters for peak effect. Message us with the date and the schedule is built backwards from it rather than fitted into whatever slot is free.
Our Medical Team
Who will actually treat you at JRYN Seomyeon?
A doctor, in person, every time — never a nurse or a coordinator. JRYN Seomyeon has three doctors, and the clinic was founded by Dr. Jeong Heon Lee, who still consults here. What you actually need is decided during the consultation after your skin is examined, not from a fixed package chosen in advance.
Three doctors, one standard of care.
Every treatment plan at JRYN Seomyeon is decided and performed in person by one of our doctors — led by Dr. Jeong Heon Lee, founder of JRYN Dermatology.
From the Founder
The consultation is the treatment.
Most patients arrive asking for a specific treatment. My job is to check whether it is the right one for what they actually have. Getting that wrong is the most common mistake I correct.

Before You Book
Questions patients ask first.
Energy lifting — Ultherapy, Thermage, Shurink and the rest. Nothing shows at any point, make-up goes on immediately, and you can fly the same day. The trade-off is that the result builds over three months rather than appearing on the day.
It counts, since another person would notice. Bruising is also the least predictable variable — some patients bruise from almost nothing and others from nothing at all. Avoiding fish oil, aspirin and alcohol beforehand reduces it, and cold applied before injection helps in the areas prone to it.
Concealer covers bruising well from day one in most areas. What it does not cover is swelling, raised injection points or flaking skin, and applying make-up over compromised skin after a laser risks irritation. The categories above assume no make-up rather than a full face of it.
Considerably, particularly for bruising and swelling. Thin skin, blood thinners and a tendency to swell all extend it. The figures here are typical ranges rather than guarantees, which is why we ask about your schedule rather than quoting a single number.
Not inherently — they work through different mechanisms rather than gentler versions of the same thing. Energy lifting
produces genuine structural change with no downtime at all. Where downtime does correlate with strength is in resurfacing, since the effect comes from controlled injury and healing.
Botox will not have taken effect yet — it begins at day three to five. Laser toning leaves redness for an hour but may darken existing spots. Realistically, the honest answer for tomorrow is a booster the evening before or nothing at all, and we will say so rather than finding something to sell.
Yes, and it is common. Energy lifting followed by botox in the same visit runs around ninety minutes total and still leaves nothing visible. Sequencing puts energy first — see same-day treatment
for how combinations are scheduled.
Slightly. First sessions of boosters and filler often swell a little more, and jaw botox produces more initial tenderness before the muscle adapts. Repeat treatments are generally quieter, though bruising remains unpredictable regardless of how many rounds you have had.
Doctor-led planning across six categories. Foreign patients pay the same as local patients — what changes a final figure is units and area, never nationality.
