What is Hi-Tox, and what does it do?
Hi-Tox
is a Korean botulinum toxin type A, MFDS-approved, with a conventional formulation and the onset and duration patients expect from the category: three to five days to start, three to four months on the face, four to six on the jaw and body. It sits one tier above Wondertox on our list and is a common choice for patients who want a Korean toxin from a different manufacturer, or who respond slightly better to one Korean brand than another, which happens and is not fully predictable.
At Boom Dermatology in Seomyeon, Hi-Tox skin Botox is priced the same as Wondertox at ₩220,000, which makes it the brand we often use for full-face microbotox; for wrinkle and jaw work the choice between Hi-Tox and Wondertox is usually the patient's preference, and the doctor will say so rather than upsell.

Questions, answered properly
What is the difference between Hi-Tox and Wondertox?
Manufacturer and price tier; both are Korean conventional type A toxins with equivalent clinical effect at matched units. Some patients report a slightly longer or smoother result on one brand than the other, which is individual and not predictable in advance. If you have a preference from previous treatment, say so; if not, the doctor at Boom Dermatology will suggest Wondertox for value and Hi-Tox if you want the alternative.
Why is skin Botox the same price as Wondertox but wrinkle Botox more?
Skin Botox uses a diluted dose across the face and is priced per session at ₩220,000 for both brands. Wrinkle and jaw Botox are priced per area by brand, and Hi-Tox sits a tier above. The per-area price reflects the vial cost, not a difference in units injected.
Is Hi-Tox as good as Dysport or Xeomin?
At matched doses, equivalent for wrinkles and jaw. Xeomin is protein-free, which matters for frequent long-term treatment; Dysport spreads wider, which suits large areas. Neither is "stronger". The doctor matches the formulation to your area and history.
Does one Korean toxin work better for some people?
Occasionally, yes, and nobody can tell you which in advance. If a previous brand gave you a shorter result than expected, trying a different Korean brand or a protein-free one is a reasonable next step, and we note the brand on your record so the comparison is real.
How do I know it is authentic?
Every vial is opened in front of you from sealed, MFDS-labelled packaging; brand and lot are written on your record at our Seomyeon skin clinic.
