What is Eye Thermage, and what does it do?

Eye Thermage is Thermage FLX with the 0.25 cm² eye tip, the smallest tip Solta makes and the one with the longest published record on the eyelids. Monopolar RF heats the dermis of the upper lid, the lower lid and the crow's-feet zone so collagen contracts and rebuilds, while contact cooling protects the surface and plastic shields protect the eye. It is the treatment that defined non-surgical eyelid tightening, and it remains the one patients ask for by name.

At Boom Dermatology in Seomyeon we suggest Eye Thermage for early hooding of the upper lids, crepey under-eye skin and a tired look caused by loose lid skin rather than by hollows. It is often paired with full-face Thermage in the same visit and compared with Eye XERF, the newer Korean eye tip at a lower price, and Eye Oligio as the value option.

What Busan patients ask before Eye Thermage
  • My upper lids have started to hood and I want to delay surgery.
  • Can I have Thermage just on the eyes?
  • 255 shots on such a small area sounds like a lot.
  • Is the genuine tip worth it over the Korean eye tips?
  • Is it safe so close to the eye?

All of these come up most weeks at our Seomyeon skin clinic. The page answers them in order.

02 Who it suits

Who is Eye Thermage for?

Good candidates

  • Early hooding of the upper lids
  • Crepey, fine-lined under-eye skin
  • Crow's feet in patients who prefer not to use Botox there
  • Patients who want the original device on the most delicate area
  • A tired look from loose lid skin rather than volume loss

We will suggest something else

  • Heavy hooding with real skin excess, which needs blepharoplasty; we will say so
  • Under-eye hollows and shadow from volume loss, which are filler or booster territory
  • Eye surgery or laser eye treatment in the last three months
  • Metal implants or a pacemaker in the field
  • Pregnancy

03 The visit

What happens at an Eye Thermage session in Seomyeon?

This is how an Eye Thermage visit runs at Boom Dermatology, a skin clinic in Seomyeon, Busan, from the first message to the review.

1

Message first

A relaxed close-up of your eyes on WhatsApp. The doctor replies with 255 or 450 shots and the VAT-included price.

2

Consultation

Lid skin, hooding and under-eye volume are assessed; the plan goes on your record.

3

Numbing and eye shields

Topical anaesthetic on the lids; shields placed under the lids with a drop of anaesthetic.

4

Shots by the doctor

The small tip works lid by lid with cooling on every pulse, AccuREP tuning the energy to the thin skin. About forty minutes.

5

Out the door

Shields out, sunscreen on. Mild pinkness for an hour; eye make-up from the next day.

6

Two-week review

We message you for a photo. The lids tighten over three months.

How does Boom Dermatology dose Eye Thermage?

The eye tip is tiny and the skin is the thinnest on the face, so Eye Thermage is dosed by placement and low energy rather than by force.

Zones

Upper lid for hooding, lower lid for crepe, crow's feet for lines. Only the zones your eyes need.

Energy

The lowest levels on the platform; cooling and AccuREP make them safe on lid skin.

Interval

Once a year, often paired with full-face Thermage or XERF.

07 Questions, answered properly

Is it safe so close to the eye?

Yes, with the right tip and shields. The 0.25 cm² tip is designed for the lid, protective shields sit under the lids for the whole session, and the energy is the lowest on the platform. At Boom Dermatology the eye area is treated only by the doctor and only with the eye tip, never with a face tip pushed toward the lid.

255 shots on such a small area, really?

Yes, because each shot on the eye tip covers 0.25 cm², a sixteenth of the face tip. 255 shots is one careful pass over both upper lids, both lower lids and the crow's-feet zones; 450 adds a second pass on the upper lids and the temples. The count is on your record.

Is the genuine tip worth it over the Korean eye tips?

For the longest published record on the lids and for patients who want the original, yes. For the result, Eye XERF at ₩1,100,000 and Eye Oligio at ₩495,000 get most of the way, and we will say so. All three are in the same room at our Seomyeon skin clinic, and the doctor will tell you which your lids need.

Will Eye Thermage fix hollows or dark circles?

No. It tightens loose lid skin; it does not add volume. Hollows and shadow from volume loss respond to under-eye filler or a booster such as Rejuran I, which can be planned in the same trip, two weeks apart.

Can I combine it with full-face Thermage in one visit?

Yes, and it is the common plan: the eye tip first, then the face tip, in one session of about ninety minutes with one round of numbing. The eye shots and the face shots are recorded separately.
