Downtime after wart removal, and flying home

Honestly stated: a scab for seven to fourteen days on hands and face, two to three weeks on the sole with a dressing and some discomfort walking. Keep it dry for a day, ointment and a plaster after; do not pick. Fly the same evening. The six-week photo check decides whether it is done.

Freezing has a place for children who cannot tolerate anaesthetic; for adults we use the laser and do not offer cryotherapy.

Pharmacy acids did nothing for months. Why would this be different?

Acids peel the surface a layer at a time and never reach the base where the virus lives, so the wart regrows between applications and spreads meanwhile. The laser removes the base in minutes. Months of acid is the commonest history at our Seomyeon skin clinic and the commonest reason the wart is larger than it was.

What are the honest recurrence odds?

Most common warts clear in one session and most of the rest in two; a minority recur, more often on the sole and in people with many warts, because virus survives in skin that looked normal.
