Timing treatment before an event in Busan Seomyeon, and what each window allows.
Not everyone has six months. This covers the shorter windows — a month, a fortnight, a week, three days — with what genuinely fits each and what should be left alone entirely.

A date on the calendar changes the whole calculation. What matters is not which treatment is best but which one peaks on the right day and leaves nothing visible on the wrong one — and those two constraints rule out more than people expect.
Does This Sound Familiar?
What patients ask before an event
I have three weeks. What can I safely do?
Is there anything useful for a week from now?
The event is Saturday. Please tell me there is something.
Which treatment peaks exactly when I need it?
What if I get it wrong and something shows?
All five come up most weeks. The third one has an honest answer that is shorter than people hope, and the sections below work through each window.
One month out — the comfortable window
Almost everything without a course requirement fits. Wrinkle botox
at three to four weeks settles fully with a correction window still open. Filler
in any area has time for swelling to resolve and for the two-week refinement. Toning
and boosters
both land well. A month is enough to fix anything that goes slightly wrong, which is what makes it comfortable rather than merely adequate.
Two weeks out — repeats and glow
Narrower but still useful. Water glow
at ten to fourteen days is the single best-timed treatment available — peak effect lands on the day with all injection points long settled. Repeat botox
works if you have had it before and know how you respond. Toning
is fine. What does not belong here is anything you have never had, because there is no room to correct it.
One week out — very little, honestly
Repeat toning, which leaves redness for an hour. That is close to the whole list. Botox will not have taken full effect, filler will still be settling, and boosters leave injection points that may not have fully gone. The honest answer at one week is usually that the useful window has passed — and saying so is more helpful than finding something to sell that carries a small risk of showing.
Three days out — nothing new
Nothing clinical. This is the window where treatments cause problems rather than solve them, and the temptation to do something is exactly what produces the swollen wedding photograph. What genuinely helps at three days is sleep, hydration and no alcohol the night before — which is unglamorous advice and more effective than anything we could inject.
Which treatments peak exactly when?
Water glow
at day seven to ten. Wrinkle botox
at day fourteen. Filler
at day fourteen once swelling resolves. Rejuran
at two to four weeks after the final session. Energy lifting
at two to three months. Jaw botox
at four to eight weeks — the one most often mistimed, because facial botox settles in a fortnight and patients assume the jaw does too.
Peak effect timing differs by treatment, sometimes sharply
What should be avoided in the final six weeks?
Thread lifting, with five to ten days of swelling and two to three weeks of restrictions. Fractional resurfacing
and acne scar work, both peeling for three to seven days and pink for weeks after. Lip filler
within three weeks, since it swells more visibly than anything else. Each is entirely reasonable three months out and a genuine problem at three weeks.
Why is the window narrower than it looks?
Because two separate clocks have to line up. One is the onset clock — how long a treatment takes to reach full effect, which ranges from a week for water glow
to eight weeks for jaw botox. The other is the visibility clock — how long anything shows afterwards, which runs from nothing at all for lifting
to a fortnight for lip filler. A treatment only fits a window if it has peaked and stopped showing before the date, and those two requirements pull in opposite directions.
What does the schedule look like in practice?
Built backwards, with the longest onset first. If the date is in ten weeks and you want jaw botox, filler
and glow, the order is jaw botox at week ten, filler at week four, glow at week one and a half. That sequence is not obvious from the treatment pages individually, which is why sending the date first produces a better plan than choosing treatments first and asking whether they fit.
What if I have never had anything before?
Then the window you need is longer than you think. A first treatment carries an unknown — how your face responds, whether you like it, whether it settles evenly — and every one of those needs time. A first filler
six weeks before an event is sensible; the same treatment two weeks before is a gamble on a face you have not seen yet. If the event is close and you have never been treated, the honest recommendation is usually to wait until after.
How do I tell you the date?
At the first message rather than at the consultation. Send the event date and your available dates together and the schedule is built backwards — see booking in English. Patients who mention the wedding halfway through the treatment discussion frequently discover that what was being planned no longer fits, which is avoidable by leading with it.
What if something does show?
Tell us immediately rather than waiting to see. Hyaluronic acid filler
dissolves within a day or two. Uneven botox
corrects in minutes with a few units. Bruising responds to concealer better than patients expect and fades faster with cold in the first day. Almost everything has a faster remedy than assumed — but only if there is time, which is the argument for the whole page.
Our Medical Team
Who will actually treat you at JRYN Seomyeon?
A doctor, in person, every time — never a nurse or a coordinator. JRYN Seomyeon has three doctors, and the clinic was founded by Dr. Jeong Heon Lee, who still consults here. What you actually need is decided during the consultation after your skin is examined, not from a fixed package chosen in advance.
Three doctors, one standard of care.
Every treatment plan at JRYN Seomyeon is decided and performed in person by one of our doctors — led by Dr. Jeong Heon Lee, founder of JRYN Dermatology.
From the Founder
The consultation is the treatment.
Most patients arrive asking for a specific treatment. My job is to check whether it is the right one for what they actually have. Getting that wrong is the most common mistake I correct.

Before You Book
Questions patients ask first.
Nothing clinical that helps and several things that could hurt. Sleep and hydration genuinely affect how you photograph; any treatment at that point is a risk without a benefit.
Same timing, and often stricter, since studio lighting is less forgiving than a venue. Two weeks minimum after anything injectable, and no first-time treatments inside a month.
Yes, and it is the one thing that fits. Redness settles within an hour or two. Be aware existing pigment spots may darken temporarily for a few days before flaking — worth knowing if the event is close.
Considerably. Under-eye
is the most likely to bruise, lips
next. Botox
and lifting
rarely. Avoiding fish oil, aspirin and alcohol beforehand reduces it everywhere.
Add the flight to the calculation — see flying home after treatment. Landing swollen at a wedding is the specific scenario that timing exists to prevent.
If both fit the window, yes. What we avoid is stacking two things with swelling, which turns a manageable few days into most of the remaining time.
If the event matters and the window allows it, that is exactly what treating early amounts to. Anything done three months out is a trial run with time to adjust.
Jaw botox
too late. Patients book it three weeks before assuming it behaves like facial botox, and the visible slimming arrives at four to eight weeks — after the event rather than before it.
Doctor-led planning across six categories. Foreign patients pay the same as local patients — what changes a final figure is units and area, never nationality.
