Start here — direct answer
What is Collagu, and what does it do?
Collagu
is a collagen booster: rather than stimulating the skin to make collagen over months, it places collagen directly into the dermis as microdroplets, where it adds structure and hydration from the first weeks and signals the skin to build around it. It sits between a hyaluronic acid booster, which hydrates, and a PLLA stimulator, which builds slowly: faster to show than a stimulator, longer-lasting and more structural than HA.
At Boom Dermatology in Seomyeon, Collagu is the booster we suggest for thin, finely lined skin on the cheeks and under the eyes that wants firmness within a month, for patients in their thirties who want collagen support before loss becomes visible, and as the second step after a Rejuran repair course. For a larger collagen deposit, Laetigen Pure Collagen; for a slower, longer build, Olidia.

The visit
What happens at a Collagu session in Seomyeon?
This is how a Collagu visit runs at Boom Dermatology, a skin clinic in Seomyeon, Busan, from the first message to the review.
1
Message first
Front and side photos in daylight and what has changed in your face. The doctor replies with the product, the vials or cc, and the VAT-included price.
2
Consultation
Volume loss is separated from sagging and from skin quality; the plan and the dose go on your record.
3
Numbing cream, twenty to thirty minutes
Topical anaesthetic; the product is mixed with lidocaine where the protocol allows.
4
Injection by the doctor
Deeper, fewer points than a booster, by cannula where possible. Twenty to forty minutes.
5
Out the door
Mild swelling for a day or two; massage instructions where the product needs them. No sauna for a day.
6
Six-week review
We message you for a photo when the collagen has started to show; the next session, if planned, is set then.
How does Boom Dermatology dose Collagu?
Collagu is dosed in cc per area and placed as dermal microdroplets; it shows faster than a stimulator because the collagen is already there.
Dermal microdroplets
Even grid, closer over fine lines.
1–2 cc
One cc for the cheeks and under-eyes; two for the full face.
Monthly rhythm
Two or three sessions four weeks apart, then every six to nine months.

Questions, answered properly
What is the difference between a collagen booster and a collagen stimulator?
A booster puts collagen in; a stimulator makes the skin build it. Collagu is a booster, so the structure is there from the first weeks and the skin builds a little more around it; Olidia or Sculptra put in a particle and wait three months for the skin to respond. Boosters show faster and last months; stimulators show slower and last years. At Boom Dermatology the doctor matches the timeline to your calendar as much as to your skin.
How fast does it work compared with Rejuran or Juvelook?
Faster for firmness: two to four weeks, because the collagen is already placed. Rejuran shows repair over a course; Juvelook shows glow at two weeks and collagen at six. For an event in a month, Collagu; for a long repair, Rejuran.
Is it the same as the collagen in creams?
No. Collagen molecules in a cream are too large to pass the skin barrier and sit on the surface. Collagu places purified collagen in the dermis, where the skin's own collagen lives.
Where is it best used?
Thin, finely lined skin: cheeks, under-eyes, the temples. It is not a volume product and not a lip product; for those, filler.
How many sessions?
Two or three, four weeks apart, then one every six to nine months. One session shows firmness for an event; the course makes it last. The doctor at our Seomyeon skin clinic sells sessions one at a time.
