Drainage, and I prefer to say so plainly because the word lifting is used very loosely in this category. Moving retained fluid out of the face genuinely reveals contour — jawlines look sharper and cheekbones read higher, and photographs confirm it. But nothing has been repositioned and no collagen has been stimulated, so the change is temporary by mechanism rather than by dosage. At our Busan clinic patients whose tissue has genuinely descended are sent to HIFU or thread lifting instead, and patients who simply wake up puffy do very well here.
