Does This Sound Familiar?

What Busan patients ask before booking a session.

  • Why would I take the more expensive of two identical structures?
  • What separates pore work from scar work?
  • Should I try the cheaper platform first?
  • How long before texture changes?

All five come up most weeks in Busan. The sections below answer them in order — where this sits on our published list, how the assignment is made, what the price does and does not tell you, and how response is measured.

Two Platforms, Same Structure

Pore or scar, on either platform.

Fractional work at our clinic is priced by what it treats rather than by session: a pore-and-texture protocol and a deeper scar protocol, published separately because they differ in depth, density and session length.

Two platforms carry that structure. Discovery fractional runs ₩400,000 for pore work and ₩800,000 for scar work; Encore Pulse runs ₩500,000 and ₩900,000. Publishing both side by side means the assignment has to be justified rather than assumed, and at our Busan, Korea clinic the grading names which platform and which protocol before any price is agreed.

How It Works

The science, without the hype.

Assignment, price, then treatment — in that order at our Busan clinic.

01

Grade the depth

Pore-and-texture work and scar work are separated first, because they are different protocols rather than different intensities.

02

Assign the platform

Two platforms carry both protocols, and the reason for choosing between them is stated with the price difference.

03

Write the total

Protocol, platform, session count and total price agreed in writing before treatment begins.

Two Protocols

Pore work, or scar work.

The grading assigns the protocol first and the platform second.

Discovery ₩400,000

The Response Curve

What treatment honestly delivers.

When What you will notice What to do
Day 0–5 Flushing then flaking through the healing window per protocol. Ointment and gentle cleansing; never scrub or pick.
Week 2–4 Surface change reads in raking light as fresh skin settles. SPF daily; the collagen phase has not arrived yet.
Month 2–3 Remodelling builds beneath and the honest result appears. Judging at week two undersells what the protocol delivers.
Honest Suitability

Who it suits in Busan — and who should wait.

A good fit if you…

  • Pore or scar work where the grading assigns this platform
  • Wanting both platforms and all four prices published before choosing
  • Rolling and boxcar scarring needing a deeper protocol
  • Busan visitors — protocols complete in one visit and build from home

Better to wait if you…

  • Pregnancy — deferred as standard
  • Active tan or recent sun — two shaded weeks first
  • Deep ice-pick scarring — ablative depth or subcision is the honest answer

After your treatment

  • Per-protocol aftercare ships in writing with each session
  • SPF daily throughout the course
  • Raking-light photos before each session referee the result

Honest limits

  • A ₩100,000 price gap is not a guarantee of a better result
  • Ice-pick scars need ablative depth or subcision rather than either platform
  • Remodelling builds over months; judging at week two undersells it
Our Medical Team

Why would I take the more expensive of two identical structures?

Only where the grading names a reason, and I would rather publish both prices side by side than let a ₩100,000 gap pass unexplained. Discovery fractional carries the same two protocols for ₩100,000 less at each tier, so a patient choosing on price alone should take it — and many do, on our recommendation. Where Encore Pulse is assigned it is because something in the reading points to it, and at our Busan clinic that something is named out loud before the price is agreed rather than implied by the higher figure.

Publishing a competitor platform on your own price table is uncomfortable and clarifying. Once both numbers are visible, the only thing left to offer is a reason.

Quick Answers

What separates pore work from scar work?

Depth, density and session length rather than a different machine setting. Pore-and-texture protocols work at standard depth across a mapped field; scar protocols go deeper and denser because rolling and boxcar scarring sits further down and needs more treated zones per area to remodel meaningfully. That is why the two are priced separately on both platforms rather than sold as one treatment with an upgrade. At our Busan clinic the grading assigns the protocol first, and mixed faces receive a written sequence rather than a blended price.

If the grading does not name a reason for this one, yes — and we say so at the examination.
